In the mid-1980's Christian Radio and Television Stations were jamed with Preachers from many Denominations and Independent Churches.  Some were using gimmicks to fill Church Pews and some were seeking money for air time.  Dr. Art Steven  became disillusioned with many of them.  He believed that many ministers of the Gospel were not preaching and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He became weary about some of the methods they used.  Later he would challenge the Bishop, Deacons and Priests as a Postulant in the Episcopal Church and as a Student in the Whitaker School of Theology in downtown Detroit.

While still in the School of Theology, he was led by the Lord to create the Radio Chaplain Program.  When his Bishop questioned the Bible as being the Word of God, he then turned to the American Evangelical Christian Churches and was licensed and later Ordained a Chaplain in 1989.  In the AECC the Lord helped him find a way of presenting the true Gospel WITHOUT gimmicks or a sponsor for air time.

The Radio Chaplain Program aired on June 3rd, 1989 on Radio Station WEXL-AM in Royal Oak Michigan.  The signal reached throughout  Southeastern Michigan and southwest Ontario, Canada. In the beginning, the Radio Chaplain Program featured a five minute Sermon on Jesus Christ.  The Radio Chaplain also offered FREE  Bible Tracts.  His favorite time was the Bible Study Survey better known as the Radio Chaplain's Bible Study Club. The Sermons went right to the point and made many listeners happy and motivated. He  helped many lapsed Church members to go back to their former Church.

In 1997 the Radio Chaplain moved to WRDT-AM, Detroit, Michigan and the program went from 5  to 15 minutes on Sunday morning.  Everything was free, the programing, the Tracts and the Radio Chaplain's Bible Study Club. In early 1999 Radio Air Time began to increase and the Radio Chaplain went into syndication, free of charge, to whomever wanted to re-run the Radio Chaplain programs.

By 2007 all of the Syndications had ended and the economy in Michigan and the rest of the Nation were in a deep recession. People began to move out of the State because employment and home ownership were in a decline.

In March of 2009 the Radio Chaplain Program returned as a Podcast on the World Wide Web.  We began creating Podcasts from the first ten years (1989-1999) of Radio Chaplain Broadcast using the best free Podcast on the Internet: Podomatic.Com

By the end of 2009 the Radio Chaplain Podcast has placed in the Top 5 for Sermons on Godcast 1000 .  We are pleased to have discovered that many of our listeners are downloading our five minute programs into their ipods.

With the Radio Chaplain Podcast on the World Wide Web and the Radio Chaplain Program now in syndication we have formed a Network. Radio Stations looking for Christian content are encourged to contact the Radio Chaplain Program Network.

Jesus Loves You

Jesus is the central figure of all human history. He is the Son of God and the Savior of humanity. Even our calendars are based on Him. He came to offer himself as the supreme sacrifice for our sins. Christ has been real to me for forty years. He is my Best Friend. My life is based on His message of hope, peace and joy. Allow me to share Him with you.

Jesus said, "No man has greater love than this: to lay down his life [and die] for his friend." That’s what He did on the cross at Calvary. He died for you. He loved you that much.

Jesus Died for You

Each of us is guilty of sinning against God. "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." And "the wages of sin is death." But Jesus died in your place! Because He died physically, you don’t have to die a spiritual death!

Jesus Has a Plan for You

The Bible tells us that Jesus and God "...is willing that no one should perish, but every person should come to repentance." His plan is for you to put your faith and trust in Him as Savior and Lord and be saved! Then you can live for Him and serve Him.

Jesus Offers You a Free Gift

"The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." You can’t earn this gift. You must receive it by faith. "For by (God’s) grace we are saved through (our ) faith, not of our own doing, it is a gift of God and not a work of man so that no one can boast."

Why not  accept Jesus’ free gift right now! He’ll give you the promise of Heaven right now if you’ll give Him your heart. Pray this prayer: "Jesus, I know I’m a sinner. Forgive me of that sin. Come into my heart. Be my Lord and Savior. Help me to live for You. Thank you for saving me. Amen." The Bible says, "They that call on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
